The Rose Parade 2025

Rose Parade 2025

The Iconic Rose Parade is considered a beloved New Year's Tradition for the residents of Southern California, especially Angelenos. Each year hundreds of residents in SoCal happily volunteer in float decorating, many of them as young as 7 years old. These beautiful floral floats are unique in every way, and each year visitors can look forward to see new masterpieces. The Rose Parade also features spirited Marching Bands from the U.S.A and also from countries around the world. We cannot forget the high-stepping equestrian units with beautiful skillful horses, and of course we are all looking forward to the return of the B-2’s thrilling flyover at the beginning of the Parade.

Planning to Stay at The Hills Inn Eagle Rock Hotel for the Rose Parade?

Let us Help You! Here is some helpful information for your upcoming stay during the Rose Parade 2025.

How far is The Hills Inn Eagle Rock from The Rose Parade?

The Hills Inn Eagle Rock is about 3.5 mi. from the Starting Point of the Rose Parade Route. This would be the corner of Green St. and Orange Grove Blvd. in Pasadena, California.

The Rose Parade Route is divided into 4 areas. Which Grandstand Seating Areas The Hills Inn Eagle Rock Recommends and why?

We recommend Area 1 and Area 2 only in specific locations indicated below.

Area 1: All Grandstand seats locations.

Area 2: only grandstand seats at the following locations.

  • 120 E. Colorado Blvd.

  • 280 E. Colorado Blvd.

  • 300 E. Colorado Blvd.

Reasons:

  • Public transportation is available from the hotel to Pasadena. However, on January 1st, the LA Metro Bus heading to Pasadena will take a detour. Our guests will get off before the Bus takes this detour, and from that point they will have to walk to their designated seats in Area 1 or Area 2. All guests taking public transportation from the hotel will get off at Colorado Blvd / San Rafael Ave. From that point they will walk about 0.8 mi. to 1.0 mi. depending on the location of their designated seats in Area 1 or Area 2 of the Parade.

  •  Area 1 and Area 2 are conveniently located near the Parsons Parking Building in case you are planning to attend the Rose Bowl Game after the Parade. The Free Shuttle to the Rose Bowl Game starts operating at 10:00 a.m. (right about when The Rose Parade ends) and the Free Game Shuttle stop is outside the Parsons Building. Guests staying in Area 1 or Area 2 (selected locations listed above) of the parade can easily walk to Parsons and from there take the Free Shuttle to the Rose Bowl Game.

All the Grandstand Seats for the Rose Parade include the "Specific Address" or physical address of the grandstand seats. You can use this address on google maps and select walking directions from Colorado Blvd. / San Rafael Ave. to the "specific address" in your Rose Parade Tickets.

Example: Tickets for Area 1 with the location 320 W. Colorado Blvd. will require a 0.9 mi. walking distance and about 20 minutes to get there.

Are there alternative options to get to the Rose Parade from The Hills Inn Eagle Rock?

Yes, there are other choices. However, taking the LA Metro Bus # 180 is by far the best choice because it is easy, affordable, and more manageable than driving and parking in Pasadena.

  • Uber Ride. Guests taking Uber Rides will have to pay a very high fee as the Uber Price fluctuates depending on the demand, and of course large events in the city. Waiting times are also longer and inaccurate due to the high demand. At this time there is only one designated Drop-Off location for guests using Ride-Sharing. The Drop off is located on Holly St. between Fair Oaks Ave. and Raymond Ave. From there, guests will have to walk to their designated seats. Please use Google maps for an estimated walking distance.

  • Street Parking. You will not be able to park on the streets in Pasadena. The street parking is usually taken a day before by Angelenos camping overnight waiting for the Rose Parade.

  • Paid Parking. You may purchase your parking permit in advanced at SharpSeatingCompany.com. Parking fees for Area 1 start at $60.00 USD to $120.00 USD. Parking fees for Area 2 start at $50.00 USD to $100.00 USD. If you have tickets for both the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl Game, then you will need to buy parking tickets for "ALL DAY." If you are attending the Rose Parade only, then buy parking for the Rose Parade only which will require that you leave the parking immediately following the Rose Parade.

  • Taxi. This service is not available in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles.

I have tickets for the Rose Parade and the Rose Bowl Game. What shall I do to get to the Rose Bowl Stadium after the Rose Parade ends?

I only have tickets for the Rose Parade. How can I return to The Hills Inn Eagle Rock hotel once the Rose Parade ends?

You will basically REVERSE your walking directions to return to Colorado Blvd / San Rafael Avenue. You may also use Google Maps to get "Walking Directions" from your location to Colorado Blvd./ San Rafael Ave.

At the Corner of Colorado Blvd. / San Rafael Ave take the LA Metro Bus # 180 heading toward Hollywood / Vine (opposite direction from Pasadena). Get off at Colorado Blvd / Eagle Rock Blvd. and walk 1 block to the hotel.
